The intersection between HR strategy and HR technology

Strategic HR Budgets

ok – so there’s been extra money in the HR budget for a few years as the economy is generally picking up, and HR “has a seat at the table.” Years ago, HR could make purchasing decisions pretty much on their own and they would have to live with the ramifactions of bad software or vendors. This has all changed. Now that HR “has a seat at the table” and are considered “strategic” many of the larger HR purchasing decisions seem to be more regimented in the corporate purchasing policy. Gone are the days when HR is able to make quick HRMS decisions within their budget. More visible strategy work = more scrutinized purchasing and more compliance like Sarbanes Oxley = more scrutinized purchasing

All in all, it just seems to me that as HR tries to take more control over its desitiny, some of that is diluted as we get bogged down in corporate beauracracy.

In view of HR dealing with the most valuable resources in the organizations, which is the Human factors,it is so importantant that HR plans manpower requirements for current and future needs, decided on issues like job analysis and how much staff needed to do certain job functions with more strategic frames.
in addition to planning organization structures, salary scales and or, policy and procedure, performance mangement, retention and succession plans, from these roles where HR acquired its important.
By introduction of the new automation systems,HR functioning smoothly with best and optimum practices ever used world wide.
    Thx.

We deal in HR Automation – and I can definately say that it is a really quickly growing industry. We are doing very well at the moment, with more and more people turning to software in a way that 5 years ago just didn’t exist. I think that whilst the HR industry may be getting bogged down in burocracy, it is still coming closer and closer to taking its own destiniy in its hands.
I know over here we are!
