Has Oracle Forgotten About the HR Suite?

Jason posted the same topic on SAP. Corsello, Jason, December 12, 2005. “Has SAP Forgotten About HR?” The Human Capitalist. Retrieved December 12, 2005 from http://jasoncorsello.blogs.com. If anyone was at Oracle World a few months ago, you’ll recall seeing all the irritated HR people. Why you ask? The HR track really didn’t exist unti lthe last day. There simply wasn’t any content for them.

In reality, I’m not sure either SAP or Oracle have forgotten, but perhaps only having 2 major vendors in the large employer space is not enough. Forgotten or not, I would say that neither vendor has ever cared much. PeopleSoft was always the leader followed by SAP. Oracle would give the stuff away to convince prospects to buy Financials. Given they are wooing PeopleSoft clients, one would have thought both Oracle and SAP would be making a better effort.
