While Oracle&#8217;s <a href=\"http:\/\/www.thestreet.com\/_yahoo\/tech\/billsnyder\/10214471.html?cm_ven=YAHOO&#038;cm_cat=FREE&amp;cm_ite=NA\">net profits are down<\/a> due to increased short term expense, it looks like they will be hanging onto the majority of the PeopleSoft clients.  a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.yankeegroup.com\/public\/home\/daily_viewpoint.jsp?ID=12788\">very low percentage of those clients are open to leaving in the short to mid term<\/a>, unlike what other vendors think. <\/p>\n<p>Unfortunately, Oracle is not so interested in selling PeopleSoft, and PeopleSoft clients are not so interested in buying Oracle.  So they&#8217;ll keep clients and revenue streams for the mid term, but they need to come up with a retention strategy for the long term.  Meanwhile, Oracle is continuing it&#8217;s bid to challenge SAP in the applications arena.
