Their financials have always been highly rated, but for the major ERP&#8217;s, the HR functionality has been sub-par at best. At worst, Oracle HR has been a complete failure.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>The chief information officer of Qualcomm, a communications equipment manufacturer, has multimillion-dollar investments in both Oracle and PeopleSoft software, but he feared the bad feelings between the companies would make his PeopleSoft investment moot.<\/p>\n<p>However, Fjeldheim says, he was &#8220;pleasantly surprised.&#8221; Employees from PeopleSoft are integrating key recordkeeping and tracking pieces of Qualcomm&#8217;s PeopleSoft applications into Oracle&#8217;s next-generation applications suite, called Fusion. At that time last year, PeopleSoft loyalists wern&#8217;t too excited about working at Oracle, the long-time arch nemesis. It seems that perhaps the tides have changed and the Oracle vision is catching on. I was at a Oracle demo and the mix of Oracle and PeopleSoft employees was completely transparent to the client.
