{"id":696,"date":"2007-03-16T01:00:37","date_gmt":"2007-03-16T09:00:37","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/systematichr.com\/?p=696"},"modified":"2007-03-16T01:00:57","modified_gmt":"2007-03-16T09:00:57","slug":"top-hro-deals","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/systematichr.com\/?p=696","title":{"rendered":"Top HRO Deals"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.hrotoday.com\/pdf\/1586-HROT-Top-Deals.pdf\" target=\"_blank\">Who\u2019s paying attention<\/a>?\u00a0 Did the value of HRO deals go down in 2006?\u00a0 Sure, there were much fewer $1B deals, but what was the cause of that?\u00a0 Were there overall fewer deals as well?<\/p>\n<p>I\u2019m thinking that deals are starting to move into the mid market and we\u2019re seeing less of the multi-line multi-process deals that make for huge sales dollars.\u00a0 Along with that, we\u2019re getting some price compression based on the competitors needing to be competitive (what a thought!!!).\u00a0 What\u2019s bad news for the vendors is that clients are starting to go back to them asking for price concessions.\u00a0 HRO vendors are mostly still not profitable, or the losses are hidden in the revenues of larger lines of business.\u00a0 At any rate, here are my highlights:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Go big:\u00a0 One must talk about Unilever.\u00a0 The largest deal of the year, this deal covers most of HR.<\/li>\n<li>ADP does global:\u00a0 ADP\u2019s deal with Ikea in 40 countries is interesting.\u00a0 Using their new SAP platform, they have a chance to pull this off.\u00a0 We\u2019ll see if they can execute.<\/li>\n<li>Hewitt all over the place:\u00a0 While not featured prominently on this list, Hewitt was the usual market mover.\u00a0 With their public facing problems around implementation bandwidth, issues at the executive level, and overall profitability, clients didn\u2019t seem as scared off as I thought they would be.\u00a0 Perhaps Hewitt is still able to generate confidence and clients are not as worried about market consolidation as I thought.<\/li>\n<li>Excellerate\u2019s first:\u00a0 Excellerate had their first major deal (only deal?) with Cardinal Health.\u00a0 They\u2019ll need to win a couple more this year to remain viable.<\/li>\n<li>Where\u2019s the rest?:\u00a0 What happened to ACS, Fidelity and Convergys?<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Who\u2019s paying attention?\u00a0 Did the value of HRO deals go down in 2006?\u00a0 Sure, there were much fewer $1B deals, but what was the cause of that?\u00a0 Were there overall fewer deals as well?
