{"id":752,"date":"2007-08-06T01:00:49","date_gmt":"2007-08-06T09:00:49","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/systematichr.com\/?p=752"},"modified":"2007-08-06T01:01:10","modified_gmt":"2007-08-06T09:01:10","slug":"keeping-your-ceo%e2%80%99s-sleep-deprived","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/systematichr.com\/?p=752","title":{"rendered":"Keeping Your CEO\u2019s Sleep Deprived"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>One of the favored questions going around the vendor circles the last few years is \u201cWhat keeps you awake at night?\u201d\u00a0 Obviously they only ask this when they are in front of VP\u2019s of HR or C-suite executives, but the answers really do exemplify what\u2019s going on in a person\u2019s head.\u00a0 The old question of \u201cwhat\u2019s most important to you\u201d never really struck a cord because it was all to easy to state the obvious politically correct answer \u201cmy people are the most important to me.\u201d\u00a0 The new question addresses the key factors that will drive the company to failure if not addressed.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>A study by Accenture shows that the war for talent can no longer be dismissed as just another management cliche.<\/p>\n<p>Identifying, retaining and replacing those people who breathe life into an organisation is now a &#8220;burning obsession among chief executives&#8221;, says Peter Cheese, global managing partner at the company\u2019s human performance practice, and affects business leaders in India just as much as those in the UK.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;More than 60% of the respondents to our annual survey of chief executives said that the inability to attract and retain the best talent is now a key threat to their business, outstripping the issue of low employee morale,&#8221;
