There are a few conferences that I think are great.\u00a0 There are others I think are pretty mundane.\u00a0 The great ones are about content, the mundane about sales, vendors, and vendor presentation.\u00a0 One of the great ones is the HR Technology Conference in Chi-town annually.\u00a0 We’re always interested in things like the vendor shootouts, but I’ve also known many HR practitioners (not vendors) present at the show providing real life experiences, not theories.<\/p>\n
About 2,400 high-level HR practitioners (a third VP or above), software and service vendor CEOs, and all the industry analysts attend from a dozen different countries. They come for the excellent no-sales-hype conference sessions, the largest show floor of 250 exhibitors, and what is indisputably the annual town meeting of this industry.<\/p>\n
