{"id":932,"date":"2008-07-23T01:00:10","date_gmt":"2008-07-23T09:00:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/systematichr.com\/?p=932"},"modified":"2008-07-23T01:00:12","modified_gmt":"2008-07-23T09:00:12","slug":"stages-in-talent-management-maturity","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/systematichr.com\/?p=932","title":{"rendered":"Stages in Talent Management Maturity"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The <a href=\"http:\/\/www.taleo.com\/talent-management-blog.php\/2008\/06\/26\/future_of_talent_management\" target=\"_blank\">taleo blog recently wrote a piece<\/a> about the sages of maturity for talent management solutions.\u00a0 I actually like this 4 stage continuum, and think it applies to more than just talent management suites.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>STAGE 1: Companies use automated core HR systems with a group of manual and disparate human capital management (HCM) systems and processes.<br \/>\nSTAGE 2: Organizations begin to automate some of their HCM processes.<br \/>\nSTAGE 3: HCM systems are being integrated and talent management suites are forming.<br \/>\nSTAGE 4: A truly unified platform of talent management and application delivery.\u00a0 ((Snell, Alice, June 28, 2008.\u00a0 Retrieved from http:\/\/www.taleo.com\/talent-management-blog on July 13, 2008.))<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>I suppose the one thing I\u2019m curious about is what stage Taleo thinks the industry is at right now.\u00a0 I\u2019m thinking the industry is at stage 2.\u00a0 Talent management vendors are not providing real integration no matter what most of them sell.\u00a0 I\u2019d guess that stage 3 with integrated talent management suites is first, not really developed yet, second requires optimized SOA if the suite is utilizing disparate systems, and third need to utilize an integrated database with unified messaging between the systems.\u00a0 We\u2019re not there yet by any means.\u00a0 I\u2019m not sure what stage 4 means, but I know we\u2019re nowhere close yet.\u00a0 Is it a single system like SAP?<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The taleo blog recently wrote a piece about the sages of maturity for talent management solutions.\u00a0 I actually like this 4 stage continuum, and think it applies to more than just talent management suites.
